Managing viral tonsillitis requires reducing symptoms through medications like ibuprofen or paracetamol. Antibiotics become necessary symptons tonsillitis if the infection is bacterial, though this is rare.

In recurring tonsillitis cases, a tonsillectomy is an option if the condition disrupts daily life. To stop the spread of tonsillitis, it is important to avoiding contact with others during symptoms.
